Mental Health therapy, also known as counseling, helps individuals explore themselves and changes aspects of their life or perspective for their own improvement. Sessions usually last 55 minutes and you can expect to be listen to, understood, and helped by exploring your mind, relationships, and feelings.
A primary session, called "an intake", is a 90-minute session in which the counselor and the client talk about what the client wants to get out of therapy and to see if it is a good match. The most important part of therapy is to have a good therapeutic relationship with your couselor. This is how that starts.
Both intake and 55 minute sessions cost $90. Sliding scale can be provided if you can not afford services.
Mental Health Evaluations are a deep dive into one's life in regard to mental health. With each evaluation, one can expect to receive consideration for a mental health diagnosis and recommendations on what to do next. These evaluations including a clinical interview, where we ask you your life story, deep dive into mental health, and mental health assessments such as those to measure personality, ability, as well as mental health.
Please note we specialize in open-ended mental health evaluations, meaning if you already know what you have and want confirmation, we are not the evaluators for you. We want to look at the whole person with limited biases, not just affirm what you already know.
Mental health evaluation start at $600, which includes the clinical interview, standard assessments, and 4 hours of adminsitrative (report writing, collateral review, additional interviews with individuals outside of client). Additional hours are $100/hour. An estimate can be provided.
